As Travis Scott is a natal Sun square Saturn he is constantly telling himself he is not good enough. Saturn tends to restrict down what it touches and when it’s your sense of individual identity, this can get downright self-punishing.
This past weekend, at his 3rd annual Astroworld concert, 8 people were killed. Travis is in the middle of his 1st Saturn return and with natal Saturn in Aquarius, he is taking on the responsibility of the collective. The trouble is that his Sun in Taurus is also being activated by Uranus in Taurus, which brings sudden chaos and upheaval. Collectively we are facing time of reckoning for the group. Covid’s lockdown (separation from each other), multiple large company strikes (the collective group wanting more equality) and internet collectives taking over the stock market (rebellious “outsiders”/fringe society) . These are a few examples of what it means to have Saturn transiting through Aquarius. Voices from the crowd are asking to be heard and with Covid kicking us off, we understand how important it is to be and work together.
The incident with Travis Scott will not only test how much command and authority he has with the group but also affect his identity on the whole. As, no doubt, lawsuits are coming, his 30’s are going to be very serious. Saturn teaches us we do not get anything for free, and there may be a high price to pay for shining his star pride too high. The collective needs to work and care for each other and Saturn is showing us how serious that can get when we don’t. Travis Scott just so happens to be one sacrificial example.
