Pluto Moves into Aquarius

Although this shift is monumentous, as Pluto hasn’t changed signs in over 13 years, the visceral and emphatic reflection won’t be felt for some time. Pluto is the planet that doesn’t quit. Ever. So the journey is long but profound and transformative. And we are starting now!

We are beginning to see the shifts, as Aquarian ideals and themes are gaining traction, namely the technological advancements and strong desires for revolt and evolution. The protests in France over retirement age, LA school workers looking for more pay, conversational omnipotent chat bots and even large tech companies laying off thousands of workers.

We are dipping our toe into a new paradigm, a new model that is forming from this placement. So what is this all about?

The Answer: An examination of the ways our uniqueness assimilates into society and the ways in which we reject it.

Aquarius is the sign of the highest ideals in terms of logical, theoretical and intellectual society. Aquarius looks to the future and thinks about how utterly wonderful it could be. And part of that requires looking at rules, traditions and norms to see where things have gotten stale.

Which is where Pluto comes in. As this planet is the final trash collector, it gives us no choice but to examine and eliminate out-molded values and immature attitudes.

Now apply this to groups and social structures. Say you had a group of friends from high school. During those teenage years, the goals and lifestyles were relatively the same; pass classes, live under the authoratative structures of parents and teachers and prepare for the next steps after high school. But soon after, a release occurs and the bonds of similar lives breaks. 10 years past and the members of this group that once held like-minded beliefs and attitudes can be radically different. Do you try and bring the group together, forcing yourself into a box in which you no longer fit, or do you break free and find another more suitable and authentic group to align with?

Our journey through Pluto is this. The goal is to make room for ongoing personal discovery through a radical departure from tradition.

How do we personally handle having a meaningful role in society? In the group?

One of Aquarius’ best and worst traits is it’s detachment. One on hand, the cold, hard look at our lives and the lives of others to brutally root out the blockage of growth is good. We need objectivity and a clear head to plan a way to move forward. But on the other, when our heads lift off into theoretical space, we can forget about the fundamental emotional human need to connect to others.

Pluto will show us both. What happens when we stay stuck, bogged down by our need for security (and perhaps connection as an excuse that is masking a comfortable rut) and never change? Drastic, dramatic crisis that requires a new way of thinking and acting. What happens when we join into a community that allows for growth and freedom and helps us align both our unique selves AND our contribution to society? A new paradigm, and set of norms where everyone gets a say.

Saturn Moves into Pisces

For the next 2.5 years Saturn will be teaching us the hard lessons of saying Yes to that question. Or… The inner serenity of saying No.

Saturn in Pisces makes us feel guilt, as if we have a debt or some penance to pay. It requires a dissolution of the idea that our personailty is a separate unit. Greed and selfishness will have consequences.

But the good news is relief comes when we give our wisdom and energy to the good of the group. And with the realization that we are nothing without a link to the rest of life brings a hefty reward: unity with life itself, a evolution of the highest order.

So take time to prepare yourself. Where are you directing your personal will? Where are you feeling the separateness? These are the places that will need maturation in the coming years.

Inward and Upward!!

Full Moon in Virgo, 2022

Mar 11

This full moon will encompass many of the inherent service-oriented traits of Virgo and Pisces. We are currently in the throws of a Piscean trifecta. With Jupiter traveling through this sign for the first time since 2011 and Neptune having occupied it since Jupiter left in 2012. These two outer planets create a strong impact, Jupiter for its expansion and Neptune for it’s hopes and dreams. With these two planets in the sign of Pisces, we are encountering a more open, accepting and diversified space. And now that openness is even great because the outer planets are aligning with the Sun, who is also in Pisces. A whole lot of depth and empathy! Pisces rules over the ideas of wholeness, confusion, connection, compassion and surrendering. Conversely, Virgo, (Pisces’ opposite sign), rules over the ideas of discernment, prudence, discretion and control. Where Pisces yearns to be all things, Virgo yearns to be the thing that works. Where Pisces wants to accept something as is, Virgo want to perfect its form. On the other hand, Virgos and Pisces do have some things in common. Both are fundamentally concerned with the idea of service towards others.

Virgo is focused on material service and what can be adjusted, fixed and helped in the physical form. Virgo will collect and painstakingly comb through all your finances in order to do your taxes, will clean your house when you’re sick and remove the grammatical errors in your resume for your next professional job. By working within the realm of reality and the limits we find in the physical world, Virgo uses structural forms such as measurements and quality tests to produce a better working order. Virgo sees a messy room and knows that to feel calm and focused, clothes on the floor and scuffs on the wall can be a distraction. Take care of those things and your mind will be clear.

Pisces is the opposite. Pisces sees a messy room as a sign of the creative flow and a process that has been unhampered. Pisces’ service is that of the emotional realm. With their heightened sensitivity, they easily pick up on your mood and reflect it. In this way, they act as a mirror, showing us to ourselves and typically from a more loving lens. Imagine a best friend that has known you for 10 years. Having a friend know your history, your struggles and triumphs and generally your mode of operation is valuable. When we encounter a person outside of ourselves that has been a witness to our lives, we encounter a different perspective. When we know someone that long (or are sensitive enough) we can sense even the smallest shift in them, whether it be in tone or body. An unspoken language that knows when we are sad or happy or grieving or anxious. This is Pisces’ service. Take away the 10 years part and Pisces can almost immediately understand the unspoken feeling and mirror it for us. Either they can show us another perspective or simply take on the burden of the emotional pain.

While the service of these two signs looks different in form, it is still an act of giving. And this is one major theme of this full Moon:

How much are you giving?

How much are you in service to others?

In what ways are you showing up in physical form and in what ways are you giving emotional service?

Typically, the full moon is taking the Sun’s energy (in Pisces this is: acceptance, chaos and wholeness) and causing an emotional reaction through the lens of the opposite sign (i.e. Virgo and needing more groundedness and discretion).

Are you worried about all the confusion?

Are you needing more structure and practical clean-up in your life?

Where have things gone too far in the flow?

How much have you been escaping?

Where can you come back down to earth and bring more realistic service to others?

This full Moon’s job is to show us where we might have lost some balance in our lives. By thinking and answering these questions, we can feel a healthier equilibrium through this confusing time.

New Moon in Aquarius

The Moon

The Moon represents many things in our lives, but above all it encompasses our inner emotional selves. While the Sun is outer expression, the Moon is our inner feeling. If the Sun is the individual and ownership, the moon is our connection to others and the need to feel part of the whole. It represents family, the past and our emotional upbringing. It represents where we feel we “belong”, where we go to for retreat from the dangers of the outer world. It’s where we rest and rejuvenate. It’s our subconscious and those habitual patterns of acting, how we unconsciously react to situations. The Moon also has a “reflective” quality (as it reflects sunlight). How we approach our memories of the past is a type of “reflection” indeed. When we talk about the moon, we talk about the emotion body and feelings that emerge when we face the outer world. Those emotions and feelings are a reflection of what is going on for us, on a deeper level. As we watch the Moon’s cycle through the signs, we inevitability find reflection of latent tensions that need to become externalized through feeling and emotion.

New Moon

Each and every month we get an important alignment between the Sun, Moon and Earth. Because the Moon moves so quickly around the Earth, we regularly experience the ebb and flow of relationship between the Sun and the Moon. From our perspective on earth, each month, or every 30 days, the sun moves forward through the zodiac. At the same time, every 2.5 days the Moon also moves forward through the zodiac. By doing simple math, we find that special moment every month where the Sun and the Moon occupy the same spot in the sky. When the Moon is in front of the Earth and the Sun is behind the Moon. In this moment we get a night where the Moon’s face is taking in no light from the Sun. From our vantage point at night, the Earth is completely devoid of the Sun’s light (on full moon nights- we are still receiving the light from the Sun, just reflected off the moon). During full moons, we get pure, unencumbered, moon energy. But during a new moon it is a great moment to connect into the subconscious. To look inward, and do the reflecting. Find and get in touch with the emotions and feelings surrounding you and your life. The new Moon is a dark time, where we take out energies and relax them, give them wholly back to ourselves and feel centered again. Additionally, the sign of the Moon will give us clues as to what will make us feel centered.

New Moon in Aquarius

As mentioned previously, Aquarius is the last air sign in the zodiac and therefore the air sign most concerned with the ideas and communication of the collective. All air signs like to share and socialize, but Aquarius sees it as a right, and a fundamental pillar for moving society into the future. Aquarius is all about the group and our collective needs and opinions. Naturally this falls into more humanitarian pursuits. Homelessness may not affect each individual, but as a whole, our fellow human brothers and sisters have a need that’s not being met. Climate change is another one. Collectively, we may not all get a tornado rip through our homes, but globally, the environment is degrading for the worse. So when we get the moon moving through this sign, we face those externalized tensions in a more emotional way. Driving through a rich downtown area, to then find large homeless populations, shows us that tension. That experience takes some reflective processing. Where are you in that? Does it bother you? Does it feel equal? What is your idea of brotherhood, friendship and humanitarianism? Haven’t you ever felt like an outsider? What are the eccentric or unique parts of yourself?

These are questions to ponder on the dark night of the moon. It doesn’t just have to be about homelessness or climate change, but rather humanity at large. The moon brings in our ideas of connectivity and inclusiveness. This is a good time to acknowledge the parts of yourself that are unique or “different” in nature. Take this moment and emotionally engage with the idea of brotherhood. When we realign with that, we are using this moon to it’s highest potential.

The new moon in Aquarius is also the celestial herald for Chinese New Year! New beginnings in friendship, community, and social awareness start today! Happy New Year!

Elements in Astrology: Air Signs

The Elements in Astrology: Air Signs

The Basics:

In Astrology there are 4 major elements; Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. Each of the
elements has 3 signs from the zodiac connected to it. Within that 3-sign-group is a
beginning sign, a middle sign and an end sign. We also could say there is the earliest or the most individuated sign, a middle sign that comes into close contact with another human being and the last sign that is the most evolved/farthest along and is dealing with the public at large. Each sign is dealing with the element in different yet similar ways. When we learn the element we understand how the signs in that element are connected.

Air Signs

For Air, the general principle and focus is outside the physical body and it’s sensations. Each time we encounter an Air sign, we have evolved from an Earth sign. We go from securing our spot in the world and dealing with limitations and responsibilities to becoming more cerebral. We go inside the mind. With the Air element, we want to gain more rationale and perspective by learning and sharing with others. When we find patterns, we find meaning and a way to connect to other people.

First Air Sign: Gemini

Before Gemini comes Taurus, who is learning the pleasures and dangers of the
physical realm. Their main concern is gaining a material security against the perils of
this earth. After solidifying their ability to exist, comes the need to connect to others.
Enter Gemini, who knows connecting to others is another form of security, as forming
bonds with people helps our survival. And indeed, good communication brings that
bond. Clear, understandable language can connect you to others, can warn you of
trouble, can help you better learn how the world works. This is Gemini’s main job, to
learn. Gemini’s are the first air sign, so with our “first born” Gemini’s curiosity is a large part of their individuality. Gemini is learning how language and communication really operate. Certain information can get you in trouble, while other information can get you through the door. Gemini’s live through the mind, trying to find patterns and facts. The air element moves freely here, as Gemini’s take in information and blows it right back out. They are the first conduit of information.

Second Air Sign: Libra

Before Libra is Virgo, who is concerned with perfecting and purifying the physical world. They work on maintaining the physical realm in order to secure a better working environment. Next comes Libra, who also wants a better working environment. But Libra finds this through working with other people that can also contribute. More productivity and success comes when two people work together. Think of how much faster your kitchen would get cleaned with 2 people rather than one. Libra is the 7th sign, the halfway point, signifying a shift from a more inner/personal astrological evolution to one that is more outer. Libra’s astrological evolution involves another person, as they embody the Air Element’s famous quality to share and socialize. Libra is encountering the “not self” and therefore, through understanding and relating to others, there comes a higher growth. To listen, learn and work with another is the second Air signs’ main goal. When we relate to others, our dreams may become more realized, our futures solidified and we start a more reflective approach to life.

Third Air Sign: Aquarius

Before Aquarius comes Capricorn, and in this sign, we get perfected matter. We get the most evolved earth, with mastery over the physical world. Capricorn soars to new
heights after working long and hard through the physical world’s limits. Aquarius then
takes that hard work and wants to apply it towards the patterns it’s noticing in the
collective group. Are you a master electrician? Can the community use your skill to
make their lives better? Aquarius goes on the hunt to find out. The collective mind has hopes and dreams of a better future. Aquarius’ job is to use their mind and
communication skills to find what exactly that better future looks like. They use the Air element to become the conduit of the collective. Using concepts and principles they have learned through the awareness of others, they visualize a higher, more evolved state of the world.

Gemini, Libra and Aquarius show us the power the Air Element has. By embodying
qualities of curiosity, sociability, thoughtfulness this element foresees a better future
through the mind’s eye. Information is vital for human beings and the Air signs know it. The mind is a powerful tool and without, the world would cease to exist. Indeed, Abraham Lincoln said it best himself:

“People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be”.

Ghislaine Maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell. Having 2 major transits, she is an interesting study. Not only is she having her 2nd Saturn Return (very much like Travis Scott, who was having his 1st) but also she is representing a transit we are all going through- retrograde Venus conjunct Pluto (on her Saturn).

What this means:
2nd Saturn Return means looking down the barrel of the last 3rd of life and taking responsibility for the time you have left. And right on schedule, Saturn has a way of making us face the consequences of our actions. If we have been skirting by, a Saturn transit creates a big crash. For Ghislaine, the crash is a court of law convicting her guilty. Her actions have been so skirted that the consequence is jail.

Retrograde Venus conjunct Pluto and her Saturn. Sometimes astrology can be so literal, it’s scary. The myth of Pluto involves kidnapping Persephone and taking her to the underworld. Ghislaine is charged with transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. If that doesn’t sounds like kidnapping and taking to the underworld, I don’t know what does. This is about women (Venus) and violation (Pluto). And Ghislaine is the embodiment of this. With this taking place in Capricorn, the seriousness is not lost. If Ghislaine had an astrologer, they would tell her to prepare for a heavy, heavy time. Astrology tells us secrets would be revealed, value systems exposed and authority figures becoming a constant.

We don’t always know the future, but astrology can always provide us with the emerging energies we will face.

Jupiter Moves into Pisces

“Compassion is contagious,” Professor Scott Plous says. “We talk about paying it forward; the idea that if you do something good for another person […] it sets off a kind of chain reaction.”

Each year Jupiter moves briefly retrograde and then into a new zodiacal sign. This year Jupiter officially moves out of Aquarius and firmly into Pisces. But in 2021, Jupiter was briefly in Pisces. So, we all got a little taste of what Jupiter in Pisces was like. Let’s take a look at what occurred during that time as this will give us clues for what’s to come.

On May 14th , 2021 Jupiter made it’s first entrance into Pisces. Prior to that point, Jupiter had been in Aquarius and we had been experiencing a boom in connectivity through technology. Jupiter amplifies whatever it touches and with Aquarius ruling the collective group, future realities and technology, it’s no wonder we all went online. Jupiter in this sign had expanded our collective need for connection. During it’s time in Aquarius, Jupiter showed us we can use technology to stay in touch. Those relatives or friends you only saw when you booked an expensive flight are now a scheduled zoom call away! The restrictions of time and space faded, and collectively we found we have more freedom than we thought in terms of our ability to socialize.

On May 13th, 2021 (1 day prior to Jupiter entering Pisces) the Center for Disease Control shifted its stance on the need to wear masks for vaccinated people. Our unconscious desires to return to comfort (Pisces) got a dose of hope (Jupiter). This event actually describes many facets of Jupiter in Pisces. If we pull it apart, we can see the real meaning of this energy and how it works:

The Removal of Limitations

Wearing a mask over our faces creates a boundary. The physical presence of a mask blocks viruses and bacteria from coming into contact with our mouths and noses. Although extremely helpful and effective, the collective need for impulsive freedom reigned. As a group, we subconsciously yearned to be unencumbered. And we always have. In the 60’s we fought against seatbelts. They were seen as a physical obstacle getting in the way of maneuvering a car freely and smoothly. For most of us, being stopped, constrained and controlled are not good feelings. When Jupiter enters Pisces, the collective subconscious can become a reality. Again, because of Jupiter’s trademark amplification, our need to be unhindered is strengthened.

The Reveal of Unity and Faith

The act of removal generally reveals something underneath. Typically, the word “reveal” is reserved for Scorpio, but each water sign is actually in tune with the unseen realms of feelings and emotions. The 6th sense feeling, the vague belief, the sensitivity that there is more than meets the eye, that there is something underneath. Taking off our masks revealed our faces. After encountering only eyes and foreheads we got to see smiles again. We got to see expressions more clearly. We got to see the whole picture once more. Pisces is about wholeness and connection. Taking off our masks made us feel and see others in their entirety. It gave us more cohesiveness; it gave us a feeling that we are all still in this together. And again, Jupiter helped elaborate and strengthen that faith.

The Blurring of Reality

Many of us felt a little shocked by the CDC’s recommendation to remove our masks. Universally, just 3 months prior, the world had gone through its first Covid winter. The reality of a fatal virus was still very much real. The CDC had been giving guidelines, testing and studying Covid-19, so naturally there was trust that their guidance was sound. But therein lies the confusion. Who were we to believe? Ourselves or something outside of us? Our immediate experiences and feelings (i.e., losing jobs, watching family members and friends suffer, being fearful we might catch it) or an outside larger entity that has greater breadth of knowledge (i.e., telling us the threat is subdued)? One reality was not lining up with the other. Chaos, confusion and feeling lost are also Pisces traits. And with Jupiter, those feelings can magnify.

Escapism

Once the CDC informed us it was safe to take our masks off, we felt relaxed. There was a feeling that we escaped the the heavy burden of carrying our masks around. Having to remember it when we leave our houses, being watchful and careful for people not wearing them, and feeling scared when we didn’t have them. By telling us we didn’t need them, the CDC let us momentarily escape Covid. Pisces is a sensitive sign that feels burdens heavily. When sadness or pain creep in, Pisces feels it in a heightened way and would much rather not deal with it. The rules and responsibilities feel to Pisces like a dull life. What better way than to pretend it doesn’t exist? When we enter into Jupiter in Pisces, there may be a heightened need to escape. We’ve collectively been living with Covid for 2 years and life feels, in some ways, more full. Jupiter is here to show us it doesn’t have to be. Just be sure to come back to earth at some point!

Jupiter moves into Pisces from January to May and again from October to December of 2022. Take this opportunity to really listen and connect to others. Jupiter in Pisces is here to show us that we can have faith. Practice having confidence that the Universe will provide. What would you do if you finally felt no more struggle? How can you help others with their struggles? Remember empathy and compassion make us feel connected. What would you do with all that support?

Venus Goes Retrograde in Capricorn

“Venus and Cupid” by Lorenzo Lotto, 1520

As we close 2021, we get a fairly rare Venus event.  Starting on December 19th, the planet will stop her movement forward, and about-face. You see, Mercury isn’t the only planet to move retrograde!  Every 18 months, Venus moves in a retrograde motion for 40 straight days. Astronomically, this looks like Venus moving closer to the Sun each day (when normally, she is moving away). From our perspective on Earth, Venus is moving backwards.

Astrology teaches us when we cover the same spot in the sky, we get another chance to inhabit that energy. And because we have already done it once before, we have a chance to view it through a new lens. After we experience an event, we take time to process it.  Examining an event, feeling, or relationship after the fact, is typically helpful.  It allows for a longer processing time than just processing in the moment. Ideally, when we revisit these things, we are wiser to what occurred, what it meant to us, how it happened, and if the outcome was right for us.

With a Venus retrograde, the subjects we end up visiting fall under the umbrella of value. What is valuable to us? One rib of the umbrella is the value of money, finance and resources. That is certainly something of value for us, as money and resources let us live and participate in society. They also give us freedom to do the things we want. Money can act as a road or thread to more enjoyable things. Who doesn’t want a hot tub? Or a fireplace in their house? Let alone food, shelter and clothes for our backs.

Therefore, this Venus retrograde has us review our relationship with money.

How are you getting money? What are you doing with it? Is it giving you enough value? Can you buy the things you want and need?

The next rib of the value umbrella is Self-Value. This ties into money and finances.  Being financially independent (or not) connects us to how valuable we feel. If a close friend refuses to pay much money for a wedding gift, even though we know they have the money, it may make us feel like we aren’t “worth it”. Or if you are financially independent, not relying on someone for food, money may make you feel like you are an asset that can help other people pay for their meals. This may make you feel good about yourself.

Venus is about what worth you assign yourself.

How much love are you assigning yourself? Do you let people walk all over you? Are you standing up for the things you value? Are you standing up for yourself?

We find the last rib of the value umbrella is relationships. These are places where we have a mirror for our self-value. This is the classic idea behind a Venus Retrograde. When we relate to others, we have to work out what we need and what we can give. If we can’t give much to ourselves, are we really treating ourselves properly? And with relationships, there is the classic saying: other people will treat you as you treat yourself. Venus wants us to review relationships. People may come back into your life, with whom you’ve had a relationship with. People you’ve had in a different phase of your life. When they do this, we can see them and ourselves in a new light.

In addition, this Venus retrograde has a special caveat, making a conjunction with Pluto and its deeper dimension. Pluto is associated with transformation, death and rebirth, and intensity. Pluto is not a sentimental planet. It asks us to dig deep and face the shadows. We are asked to reveal and deal with all that is our deepest selves.

Therefore, this Venus Retrograde may be intense and require much focus and strength. The very likely outcome is a feeling of our deepest selves gaining more value. By exploring how we relate to others, how we want to be related too, and what it is exactly that we find valuable, we get a chance to get closer to our true core. Our deepest selves can get some love too. Our self-value can grow. All we have to do is follow the path that this energy illuminates for us. All we have to do is bravely follow our hearts.

Full Moon In Gemini: Dec 2021

Each year, we get a full moon in Gemini during the Sagittarius, December season. When you learn Astrology, you understand that a full moon occurs when the Moon is on one side of the earth and the Sun on the complete opposite side. In December, the Sun is journeying through the sign of Sagittarius. In our last blog post we learned that Sagittarius is about learning the wisdom and meaning of life. In this month, we are reviewing the full scope of what this past year meant to us, what wisdom we have gained.

During a Gemini Full Moon, the moon is journeying through the opposite sign of Gemini.  On this one night the full face of the moon catches the full light of the Sun. This month the Gemini Full moon is catching the full fiery light of Sagittarius. All of the Sagittarius traits (good and bad) are on display through the mirror of the moon. That mirror asks us to witness where the extremes may be, where things are too skewed one way. That way we can perhaps address them. The moon represents our emotions and subconscious and when we feel something is wrong, we sense it. Something signals our spidey-senses, our intuition, our sixth sense, the hairs on the back of our neck. Unfortunately, we tend to ignore those little messages. So, we have the full moon to come along and emphasizes those signals.  The full moon exaggerates those emotions to an undeniable degree. And then we have no choice but to deal with it.

Truth and Righteousness

The emotional undercurrent that Gemini can bring out of Sagittarius is one of truth and righteousness. Gemini wants to collect all the facts about a situation. They ask “what’s going on at this place, at this time, with this opinion.”  Sagittarius looks at the wider picture: they ask the “why” was something happening at all, what was the belief behind the opinion and what is the larger meaning of it all? What is the moral of the story? But sometimes when we try and come up with a moral, we can put unnecessary emphasis on how much it aligns with our personal belief system. We get too caught up in how much it really means or inflate it bigger than it really is. And a Gemini Full moon might show us where we applying too much of our own meaning. What are we inflating that really just has too much hot air?

Another manifestation of this alignment is the intake of information and the internal processing that happens with it. The moon is trying to show us the subtle, habitual ways in which we gather intelligence. Do we sniff out the same type of information all the time? Where do we think we are continually right about a subject? We formulate subtle opinions and judgements that eventually allow us to quickly move on in life. But that confirmed “yes, that’s right” can sometimes hinder our ability to make room for any other perspectives. It can limit our understanding and make us become righteous when we have only gathered one side of information, when we have only stayed on one side of the coin.

Balance

This full moon wants us to balance out that sometimes righteous Sagittarius and do some more gathering. Take in more information, even if it doesn’t seem like it will apply to the situation. There is a heightened emotional need to lighten the load from being too dogmatic. Sagittarius can feel more balanced when it takes into account the way of the Gemini. And if the Sagittarius goes on too long without bringing in the innocence, flexibility and curiosity of Gemini, then a full moon will make it dramatically apparent.

Ask Yourself this Full Moon:

At what point can you allow for the gathering of new information? Are you open to new perspectives? What belief system can you revisit and bring more innocence into?

Travis Scott and Saturn in Aquarius

As Travis Scott is a natal Sun square Saturn he is constantly telling himself he is not good enough. Saturn tends to restrict down what it touches and when it’s your sense of individual identity, this can get downright self-punishing.

This past weekend, at his 3rd annual Astroworld concert, 8 people were killed. Travis is in the middle of his 1st Saturn return and with natal Saturn in Aquarius, he is taking on the responsibility of the collective. The trouble is that his Sun in Taurus is also being activated by Uranus in Taurus, which brings sudden chaos and upheaval. Collectively we are facing time of reckoning for the group. Covid’s lockdown (separation from each other), multiple large company strikes (the collective group wanting more equality) and internet collectives taking over the stock market (rebellious “outsiders”/fringe society) . These are a few examples of what it means to have Saturn transiting through Aquarius. Voices from the crowd are asking to be heard and with Covid kicking us off, we understand how important it is to be and work together.

The incident with Travis Scott will not only test how much command and authority he has with the group but also affect his identity on the whole. As, no doubt, lawsuits are coming, his 30’s are going to be very serious. Saturn teaches us we do not get anything for free, and there may be a high price to pay for shining his star pride too high. The collective needs to work and care for each other and Saturn is showing us how serious that can get when we don’t. Travis Scott just so happens to be one sacrificial example.
